01 / The beginning
Before the name,
there was the craft.
Long before Franklord appeared on a dial, our manufacturing house was making watches for Indian and international brands. For over 35 years, that work happened behind the scenes: among movements, dials and the daily discipline of watchmaking.
In 2022, Jay Khatri brought that heritage into a new chapter. His ambition was to build a watch brand born in India, with the design, craftsmanship and confidence to find its place in the world.
Franklord was created for people who look closely. People who care about the way a watch feels, the thought in its design and the details behind its character.

Jay grew up around the bench, among movements, dials and people devoted to their craft. That experience shaped a simple belief: an Indian watch brand could earn its place through thoughtful design and the quality of its work.
Franklord is the expression of that belief. A name built on watchmaking experience, with a purpose that feels personal.
